From professionals who have completed the foundation module.
“Botulinum toxin looks simple until a patient comes back with a result you did not intend. Understanding the muscle, the dose and the diffusion is what separates a predictable outcome from a lucky one.”
“Most skin complications I see in clinic come from treating the surface without understanding what is happening underneath it. This module starts with the biology, because that is what lets you choose the right treatment instead of the popular one.”
“Every injector should be able to recognise a vascular event and act on it within minutes. We teach the anatomy and the technique, but we also teach what to do on the worst day of your clinical career.”
“Regenerative treatments ask a different question than fillers do. Not what shape do I want today, but what tissue quality am I building over the next two years. Practitioners who make that shift get better long-term results and far fewer surprises.”
Many practitioners learn treatments step-by-step without fully understanding how the skin works beneath the surface. This often leads to: Reactive treatment planning Over-reliance on trends or brands Inconsistent results

Regarding certification, Nordic Aesthetics Academy (NAA) provides international education and is a private academy that independently certifies its students.
All students who participate in NAA courses or educational programs are personally responsible for verifying the laws, regulations, licensing requirements, and scope of practice that apply in the country where they intend to practice using their certification from Nordic Aesthetics Academy.
Regulations and professional requirements vary significantly between countries. Therefore, each student is solely responsible for ensuring that they possess the appropriate professional background, meet all local legal and regulatory requirements, and are permitted to use their certification from Nordic Aesthetics Academy as recognized evidence of training and competence within their country of practice.
No prior medical license is required. However, this module is particularly well suited for registered nurses and other licensed healthcare professionals who want to build structured competence in cosmetic dermatology. Upon successful completion, non-licensed participants qualify as certified Skin Therapists through NAA.
Yes. Upgrade is available after passing the online theory.
If you complete the online theory only, you receive a digital certificate confirming that you have successfully completed the theoretical components of the module. This verifies knowledge competence but does not confirm practical proficiency.
If you complete the hands-on training and receive the diploma, NAA certifies that you have demonstrated supervised clinical competence in the following treatments:
Certification applies strictly to the treatments included in this module. It does not extend to injectables, laser treatments, or other medical procedures unless separately completed.
Upon successful completion of the full module (including hands-on), you qualify as a certified Skin Therapist through Nordic Aesthetics Academy.
Healthcare professionals who complete the module add structured dermatological competence to their existing license.
Each included course contains multiple-choice assessments.
If you do not pass on the first attempt, you may retake the test.
The questions vary between attempts, but the required knowledge standard remains the same. The purpose is mastery — not gatekeeping.
The structure ensures that you genuinely understand the material before progressing to hands-on training.
Hands-on training consists of five full practical days (approximately 6–7 hours per day).
Each day focuses on one treatment theme and includes:
Training takes place in carefully selected clinical facilities and is designed to maximize individual attention and quality of learning.
Professional follow-up is provided after training.
Groups are intentionally kept small, typically between 4–10 participants depending on the treatment theme.
This ensures close supervision, individual feedback, and a structured learning environment.
Hands-on training is held in selected countries and clinical locations organized by NAA.
Participants receive full location details before confirming enrolment. NAA also collaborates with selected partners to provide accommodation recommendations and practical travel guidance.
You may upgrade at any time after completing and passing the online theory.
If purchased separately, hands-on training costs 15 000 kr. When purchased together with the module initially, hands-on is included for 10 000 kr.
Upgrades can be arranged directly via the website or by contacting info@na.academy.se.
You receive long-term access to the online learning platform, including:
This allows you to revisit and refresh your knowledge whenever needed.
